One of the best moments of people's lives is going to the movies. The big screen, the sound, the smell, but most importantly, the food. Everyone has their own tastes, but a staple of going to the movies that nearly everyone agrees with is popcorn. The crowd loves how warm it is when it comes out of the machine, and how the salt and the butter just go together perfectly. Some people even put their candy in their popcorn, so that their candy has that hint of saltiness and surprise when they reach to grab the delicious treat.

A movie is not a movie without snacks. One of the really fun things someone can do is coordinate their snacks to the movie. If the movie is Sweet Home Alabama then a snack could be southern-style salty treats, and if the movie is Hotel Transilvania some great snacks would be some spooky Jell-O and some candy eyeballs. The possibilities are practically endless!

It also seems there are some favorite movie snacks throughout the United States. In the number one spot, is Peanut M&Ms by a long shot. These salty and sweet pieces of chocolate sell more than any other movie theater candy in the country. Behind Peanut M&Ms (in no particular order) comes Sour Patch Kids, Skittles, Twizlers, and Reeses Pieces. All of this candy is a mixture of gummy, salty, sour, and of course, sweet.

Having candy while watching a movie is a crucial part of the experience and without them, a movie just is not a movie.
