There are a multitude of book genres but one of the most amazing ones is rom-coms. Rom-coms are romantic books with a comedy aspect that puts a laugh to the story. That is not to say that these books do not have serious elements or moments when something is really about to go down. Still, after that moment there is always some funny dialogue or a silly comment from an out-of-pocket character.
Rom-com books are often the page-turners. Teens and adults alike stay up until the early hours of the morning or even until the sun comes up reading the entertaining banter and jokes coming from the characters. Once someone opens one of these novels, they can not seem to stop, especially when the romantic side of the characters comes out from being hidden beneath the humor.
One of the most amazing things about romantic-comedy novels is that there is a balance between the romance and humor. When the novel is only consumed by romance or comedy it gets boring and seems like there is no plot or interesting twists. If the two genres are combined, then the book is so much more entertaining to read. Combining romance and comedy also gives the author more freedom. A book that is solely focused on romance will get repetitive and a lot of readers will get bored from reading a million other books like it. If the romance is humorized, then it makes the reader laugh, and wish they had the burning romance between the characters. Rom-coms are such a great genre of book especially if a reader is looking for a lighter read to aww over.
